Eva Cofie is a Consultant of the firm.
Eva has acquired specialist skill and experience in her areas of practice since 1996. Since her qualification as a Solicitor, she has represented clients at all levels of Court. She has a particular interest in representing vulnerable clients including those without mental capacity.
Eva practices in all areas of housing including allocations and homelessness ( County Court appeals and judicial reviews), security of tenure, illegal eviction and harassment, statutory nuisance prosecutions, Housing Act 1996 injunctions, disrepair and possession cases ( mortgages and tenancies). She also acts for clients in High Court injunction applications against local authorities.
Eva also specialises in civil liberties and human rights law, commercial litigation and commercial property. She was previously a Court Duty Solicitor for housing possession cases and a Legal Services Commission Duty Solicitor for Harmondsworth fast-track cases.
Eva served as a Trustee Board Member for Citizens Advise Bureau ( Bermondsey & Peckham) from 2003 to 2006. Her work as a Board Member included monitoring legal challenges brought by the bureau against local authorities on their policies and practices.
